Hi, I’m Steve Barrett, founder of Black Flag Coaching.
I’m a Gallup-Certified CliftonStrengths® coach with 30 years of senior leadership scars from scaling fast-growth businesses and working inside franchise networks.

I know first-hand the weight of growth: stretched leaders, culture under pressure, and decisions that never stop coming. I’ve been there, and now I help others scale with clarity, confidence, and culture intact.

For three decades I climbed through leadership, from running single sites to directing large, complex operations. 

I lived the pressure of rapid growth, franchise fault lines, and the reality that titles don’t make you a leader- alignment, clarity, and courage do.

Eventually, I made the bold move to step away from corporate life. I wanted to create something different:
